Crappy Canadian Tire

I am thoroughly pissed off.

Today, one of my room mates and I went to a few stores in hopes of purchasing a Nalgene water bottle.  Unfortunately none of the stores had them.

The last store we went in was Canadian Tire.  Also called “Crappy Tire” by most of the country.  After looking through the store, and asking an employee if they had any Nalgene bottle, we were told the were all out of them.  My room mate and I promptly walked to the front of the store to leave.  As we got to the front of the store, we noticed that we couldn’t go through the exit door unless we went through a checkout line.  There were only 3 checkout lines open, and all 3 of them had at least 10 people in line.  SO we decided to crawl under the chain at one of the empty checkouts.  Well, some old lady, who appeared to be some form of management came up to my room mate and I and said “She has to search your bags!” I was like “uhh I’m just trying to leave the store.”  And then the lady said “you have to go through the checkout.”  SO we had to stand in line for at least half an hour; the management lady was standing between my room mate and I.  When it was our turn at the checkout, the cashier searched through my purse, my room mate’s purse, and a plastic bag we had from Wal-Mart, which only had a 1L of milk and a loaf of bread.  I was asked to show them the Wal-Mart receipt.  OK, I showed it to them.  It’s not like Canadian Tire even sells milk or bread.  The management lady told the cashier we were “sneaking” around the store and that she thought we have stolen something.  My room mate and I were also asked to remove our jackets.  Like WTF???? It’s not like my room mate and I were dressed like hobos and looked like our pockets were stuffed to the max.

SO that’s my story.  I have no idea what else to say.  I’m just pissed out and wanted to write out why so I could copy and paste it to people that asked.
